|
Applicants for a Learner's Licence should appear personally before the Licensing Authority with the following: |

Application Form No. 2 (available with the department) |

Fees of Rs. 50/- for each class of vehicle |
» |
Proof of age, appropriate for relevant class of vehicle. For example Birth Certificate, Secondary School Certificate, Life Insurance Policy, Passport etc. |

Proof of residence like Ration Card, Electoral Roll, Electricity / Telephone Bill etc., showing the name of the person. |
» |
Medical Certificate in Form No. 1A wherever applicable. |
» |
3 recent passport size photographs of the applicant. |
» |
Applicants for Transport Vehicle Licence must apply in Form No. 8 and produce a Permanent Driving Licence for Light Motor Vehicle held by him, at least for one year. |
Applicants for Learner's Licence shall pass a test regarding basic traffic signs and driver's responsibilities. The Learner's Licence so issued is valid for a period of six months from the date of issue and is renewable for another period of six months, during its validity. |

|
Licence to drive a Non-Transport Vehicle is valid for 20 years from the date of issue or until the holder attains the age of 50 years, whichever is earlier. After that, the Licence is renewed every 5 years. Transport Vehicle Licence is valid for a period of 3 years from the date of issue or renewal.

The applicant should have completed 16 years of age to drive a Motor cycle up to 50CC. |
• |
The applicant should have completed 18 years of age to drive a Motor cycle above 50 CC and other vehicles like Light Motor Vehicles or any specified category. |

The applicant should have completed 20years of age to drive Transport Vehicle and one year experience in driving Light Motor Vehicle. |
• |
Educational Qualification should be 8th pass for driving the Transport Vehicle with One year experience in Non-Transport of the same category. |
• |
Form 2: If the applicant is less than 18 years of age, parent/guardian should also sign the application for licence to drive Motor Cycle below 50CC, in the presence of the Licencing Authority or person authorised in this behalf by the Licencing Authority. |
• |
Form 1- Self declaration: In case if the applicant applies for Transport Licence copy of the previous Driving Licence shall be submitted. |
• |
Form 1A- Medical Certificate: In case of Transport Vehicle category or for an applicant who have attained the age of 50 years and applies for any category with one recent passport size photograph. |

Note:

c) Requirements for Retest to obtain Learner’s Licence: |

Cash Receipt or application number for which the applicant has given the last learner’s licence test. |

The applicant is eligible for retest after 7 days from the date of last online test. |

a) Requirements for Fresh Driving Licence: |
• |
Form – 4 - Application for issue of Fresh Driving Licence |
• |
Valid Learner’s Licence in Form–3 should be more than 30 days old from the date of issue. |

One recent passport size photograph |

Driving Certificate in Form-5 from any Government recognized Driving School, if the applicant is to drive Transport Vehicle. |
• |
Valid DL of Non-Transport Category of One year experience in the same category for which Transport Vehicle category is required. |
Note: |
• |
Applicant should appear in person along with respective class of vehicles for which LLR is issued with documents i.e., RC, IC and PUC for undergoing driving test before the Motor Vehicle Inspector and should pass the test. If failed the applicant should appear for retest after 7 days. |
• |
The applicant is exempted from test for a Non-Transport category provided the applicant hold a Driving Licence to drive such class of vehicle issued by a competent authority of any country outside India and defence personnel who has been discharged from service. |
• |
Driving test is must for Transport Category vehicle. |
b) Requirements for Retest: |
1. |
Cash Receipt or application number for which the applicant has given the Driving test. |

The applicant is allowed for retest after 7 days from the date of last test. |
3. |
If the applicant failed for 3 consecutive times with a gap of 7 days between the tests then the applicant is not allowed for retest for next 60 days from the date of last test. |

Requirements for Fresh Conductor’s Licence: |

Form-CLA-An application for conductor’s Licence shall be made in writing.

The applicant’s age should be 18 years or more.
|
• |
The minimum educational qualification should be 10th class pass.
|

The name and date of birth should be verified with original documents.
|
• |
Two clear copies of a recent photograph.
|
• |
Form MCC – the photograph should be firmly affixed to the Form and the prescribed registered medical practitioner shall affix his signature or seal to the photograph in addition to signing the Form.

First Aid Certificate issued by St. John Ambulance or a competent authority like Civil Surgeon/Assistant Civil Surgeon. |

If an existing Conductor’s Licence is lost or damaged or validity of Conductor’s Licence is expired or will expire soon, the licence holder has to apply for a duplicate Conductor’s Licence.
